Snap Tap is a multiplayer card game to play with friends, available on the web (snaptapparty.com) and as a mobile app. This page explains what data is processed when you play, why, and what your rights are. The general principle: we collect the bare minimum needed to run the game, and nothing else.
1. Who is responsible?
Snap Tap is published by Coconoa (sole trader), business ID (SIRET) 106 287 287 00010. For any question about your data: snaptap@coconoa.fr.
2. Data processed
- The nickname you choose when joining a game. It is visible to the other players in the room. You can use any name: nothing requires your real identity.
- An anonymous technical identifier, generated automatically (Firebase Authentication, anonymous sign-in). It contains no personal information: no account, email or password is required to play.
- Game data: room code, players present, scores, cards played, room settings. This data is temporary (see section 5).
- Local storage on your device (nickname, identifier, current room) to recognize you from one session to the next. It stays on your device and is erased by clearing the site's data or the app.
3. What we do NOT do
- No collection of your real name, email, phone number or location.
- No advertising, no ad trackers, no third-party tracking pixels.
- No sale or commercial sharing of data, with anyone.
- No profiling.
4. Hosting and technical subprocessors
The game relies on technical services that process data on our behalf:
-
Google Firebase (real-time database and anonymous authentication):
data hosted in the European Union (Belgium, region
europe-west1). - Vercel (web hosting): standard technical logs (IP addresses in server logs, limited retention).
- RevenueCat (in-app purchase management, mobile app only): when you make a purchase, RevenueCat processes transaction-related information (purchase ID, purchase status, anonymous technical identifier, country) in order to validate, unlock and restore your purchases. RevenueCat is a US-based company; this transfer outside the EU is covered by the applicable contractual safeguards. RevenueCat never receives any payment card details.
5. Retention
- Game rooms (and all the game data they contain) are deleted automatically: at the latest about 4 hours after they are created, or as soon as they are empty.
- Local storage stays on your device until you erase it (browsing data or uninstalling the app).
- Unused anonymous identifiers may be deleted periodically from our systems.
6. Your rights
You have the right to access, correct or delete your data, and to object to its processing. Given the nature of the game (no account, anonymous identifiers, ephemeral game data), most data disappears on its own quickly. For any request, contact us at snaptap@coconoa.fr.
7. California residents (CCPA/CPRA)
For full transparency, here is everything we collect: the nickname you choose, an anonymous technical identifier, and temporary game data (see section 2). We collect no real name, email, phone number or location. We do not sell or share your information with anyone and do not use it for targeted advertising, and game data is deleted automatically (see section 5). Because we hold no identifying personal information, there is effectively nothing else to disclose — but California residents may still contact us at snaptap@coconoa.fr.
8. Children (COPPA)
Snap Tap is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have, we delete it. Some card categories with adult content are only playable if the room host explicitly enables them.
9. In-app purchases
The mobile app offers in-app purchases (paid content packs, one-time purchase). Payments are processed and billed by Google Play: we never have access to your payment card details. To validate, unlock and restore your purchases we use RevenueCat (see section 4), which processes a purchase ID and an anonymous technical identifier. Refund requests are handled under Google Play's policy. Purchases are only available in the mobile app (not on the web). See also our Terms of Use and Sale.
10. Changes
This policy may change as the app evolves. The last-updated date is shown at the top of the page; significant changes will be flagged in the app.
